Dating Amber

Dating Amber is a heartbreaking, candid, and humorous look at the highs and lows of adolescence, where the only way to fit in is to be someone else, even if it contradicts your own nature. Eddie and Amber (both17) are in the closet about their sexuality and decide to stage a relationship to quell speculation. Eddie is eager to follow in his father's footsteps and join the military, while Amber aspires to live in London's liberal enclave. However, their 'perfect' arrangement begins to unravel, driving Eddie farther into denial while Amber realizes her best friend has a terrible future if she does not intervene. Beards is a love letter to all the children who grew up in tiny towns and felt the desire to escape to be themselves.
