Dead Stop
In the desert, things can be harsh and brutal at times. As the day progresses, the temperature rises above 100 degrees Fahrenheit, and at night, it drops below freezing. It is overrun with feral and lethal animals. Getting lost here is not an option. Todd, Josh, and their pals have unfortunately done just that. After picking up two hitchhikers along the road, the group of teenagers and the two of them had ended themselves in the middle of nowhere, far from their intended ski destination. Many people believe that the desert animals are more scared of humans than they are of themselves, including snakes, scorpions, and coyotes. However, in this instance, the folks in question have genuine reason to be concerned rather than just afraid. This particular area of the California desert is home to a wild animal that is unfazed by human presence. Craving for their flesh, this enormous beast is ferocious and terrifying. It has a lot of power. It's a primal feeling. It's a constant battle. It's also hungry.
